Head lice

Head lice

Head lice is a common problem especially in children aged 4-11. Whilst they are largely harmless they can be difficult to identify, frustrating to treat, and can spread quickly among children.

Please see the attached advice leaflets to support with the identification and management of head lice. The leaflets explain

  • what headlice are,
  • how to manage and treat them,
  • where to go for help and
  • the criteria for free treatment on the pharmacy first scheme.
