In July 2025, the introduction of the digital expenditure reporting return was introduced by the DfE. It aims to reduce the amount of time spent by simplify reporting requirements. Feedback from the pilot last year highlighted the positive impact this made. The digital expenditure reporting return will provide more accountability on how schools are spending the PE and sport premium.
