Homework Expectations for Year 2 are as follows:

• Daily Reading using the reading record
• Weekly spelling lists to learn in preparation for the test on Fridays (every week)
• Schofield and Sims Arithmetic (Section B). Booklets will be sent home on Wednesdays, to be completed by the Friday of the same week
• Additional homework to support misconceptions and practise skills - this will be on a 'as and when' basis
• Some children will be sent homework as part of an intervention to support their learning. This will be discussed with you via Dojo or Parents' Meeting. 

Home Learning for Snow Days or Long-term illness

Here we provide activities for days when school is closed due to snow/ice or if a child has been ill and families wish for them to have activities to do.

Usually on Snow Days, we will post on Dojo daily missions which include daily expectations, e.g. reading, as well as a special activity to support what we would usually be doing in class that week. We may signpost you to this page to choose an activity or create an activity on Class Dojo.
