In Year 2 the children have enjoyed exploring deeper in to the Christian faith and seeing how we welcome and celebrate new life. They have studied Baptism as a concept and made comparisons to non-religious ceremonies such as naming ceremonies. 

The children were then asked to design their own invite for a person to either of the ceremonies and have to give reasoning for their designs. They also had a go at designing a gift appropriate for somebody who is making a religious journey in to Christianity. Their final tasks show how we could welcome somebody new and the appropriate actions a Christian or non-Christian would do to achieve this.
